Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of QA engineering experience, with at least 3 years leading a QA function or serving as a principal QA engineer in a product engineering team.
- Expert-level test automation — Playwright or Cypress for UI, Supertest or REST-assured for APIs, and custom frameworks for data pipeline validation
- Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript for test framework development and automation scripting
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD-integrated testing: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI with quality gates blocking broken builds.
- Proven track record building QA strategy for data-intensive platforms — validating ETL pipelines, data models, and API contracts at scale
- Practical experience testing AI/LLM-powered features — defining evaluation criteria, building ground-truth datasets, and detecting regressions in model outputs.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (k6, Locust, or JMeter) and experience setting SLOs for production systems.
- Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements as they apply to test data management, environment segregation, and audit logging.
- Experience with Agile delivery — embedded in sprint ceremonies, contributing to acceptance criteria, and running QA retrospectives.
- Strong communication skills — able to translate quality risk into business language for product and executive stakeholders.
- Understanding of Kubernestes infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing platforms such as Testim, Mabl, Applitools, or Reflect — and a clear philosophy for where AI testing tools add genuine value.
- Understanding of Healthcare datasets
- Familiarity with contract testing frameworks (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract) for microservice boundary validation
- Exposure to security testing practices: OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST tooling (Snyk, SonarQube, OWASP ZAP), and dependency vulnerability scanning
- Experience with accessibility testing tools — axe-core, Lighthouse, NVDA/VoiceOver screen reader validation — and WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and Master Data Management (MDM) validation — NPI/TIN reconciliation, member deduplication, entity resolution accuracy
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch) for production quality monitoring and alerting
- Cloud certifications (AWS) a plus
